A Tropical Wave located just east of the island chain is forecast to approach the islands initially with an increase in cloudiness and scattered showers.
However,by Thursday, a favorable mid to upper level atmosphere, is expected to generate moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain, thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds, which will continue into early Friday.
As a result, an advisory (Weather Alert or Flood Watch) is likely to come in effect for SVG at 6 pm today, Wednesday 3rd July. Residents and motorist in flood prone areas, near rivers and streams are advised to be alert during this period.
