PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Agency for Public Information invite residents of Barrouallie and Surrounding areas to a Town Hall Meeting to commemorate the activities to mark the 2nd anniversary since the last explosive eruptions of the La Soufrière volcano. This meeting will take place at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre on Tuesday 18th April, 2023 at 5:30 pm.
The purpose of the meeting will be to:
- Update residents on the present status of the La Soufriere Volcano
- To provide a forum to share experiences and lessons learnt from the explosive eruptions of the La Soufrière volcano in 2021.
The feature speaker will be Dr. Thomas Christopher, Volcanologist, Seismic Research Centre, based at the Montserrat Volcano Observatory.
Residents of Barrouallie and Surrounding areas are asked to make a special effort to attend this Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday 18th April, 2023 at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre beginning at 5:30 pm.
