ECONOMIC PLANNING DIVISION AND NEMO TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY CONSULTATION MEETING FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE NEMO WAREHOUSE AT CAMPDEN PARK
[Kingstown, Saint Vincent] – In upcoming months, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) Campden Park Warehouse will benefit from rehabilitative, and construction works funded through the Volcanic Eruption Emergency Project (VEEP) – which is a World Bank funded project.
As such, the Economic Planning Division (Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Information Technology) in collaboration with the NEMO will be facilitating a community consultation meeting on October 18, 2023, at the NEMO Warehouse in Campden Park. It is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., and members of the public are invited to attend.

LIFE THREATENING SURF AND RIP CURRENT EXPECTED ALONG THE SHORES OF SVG
STARTING MONDAY MORNING – OCTOBER 09, 2023
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) wishes to advise all coastal residents, sea bathers and fisher folks to avoid using the sea over the next three days as long period waves could produce life-threatening surf and rip currents that can impact the shores of St. Vincent and the Grenadines from early Monday morning into Wednesday. All fisher folks are asked to secure vessels, engines and equipment. All coastal residents are also asked to take all the necessary precaution to save life and secure livelihood.
