Partly Cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm activity can be expected this afternoon. By tonight, conditions at the upper level support could trigger instability leading to periods of rain, moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorm activity Tuesday and Wednesday. This instability could linger further as a building Atlantic High Pressure at mid levels should position the island chain on the southern edge with adequate moisture. Hence, lower level convergence and upper level short-waves could lead to enhanced instability across our area.
