Japan’s Non-Project Grant AID For Provision of Industrial Products for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (FY 2014)
The government were yet again recipients of various equipment and supplies from the government of Japan.
This was possible under the Japan’s Non-Project Grant AID For Provision of Industrial Products for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (FY 2014) where a grant of approximately US $4 million dollars was made available to make this possible. A handing over ceremony for the grant took place at the NEMO Headquarters, Old Montrose on the 13 February, 2019 at 1 pm. Representatives from the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard, The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force and the Buildings, Roads and Bridges Authority (BRAGSA) and Local Government were present at the ceremony as these ministries all benefitted from the grant. His Excellency Tatsuo Hirayama, ambassador of Japan to St. Vincent and the Grenadines was also present at the handing over ceremony during his visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Some of the items received by NEMO are Collapsible water jug, Rescue rope set, High pressure water washer, Water pump, Foldable Wheelchairs, Safety loader truck, Autoclave, First Aid Kits, SLR Digital camera, VHF digital transceiver, and Chainsaws.
