Strong Tropical Wave approaching the windward islands 20.09.22

The SVG Met Services and NEMO continue to monitor the approach of a strong Tropical Wave. At 11 am, the axis of the tropical wave was located along longitude 54° west, or about
480 miles (770 kilometers) southeast of the Windward Islands and moving westward at 15 – 20 mph.

NEMO urges all residents to continue your preparedness as we are in the peak of the hurricane season and this wave has potential for development to a Tropical Storm.

Regardless of its development, this system can bring gusty winds, heavy rainfall and rough seas to St. Vincent and the Grenadines beginning late Wednesday.
